ISSN 0001-5555 Sir, Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (MF) is a rare variant of MF characterized by the presence of folliculotropic infiltrates and preferential involvement of the head and neck area. The prognosis of patients with folliculotropic MF is worse than that of patients with classical MF (1). Some patients with folliculotropic MF take an aggressive course with visceral involvement.

Two Clinically Unusual Cases of Folliculotropic Mycosis Fungoides: One with and the Other without Syringotropism
Mycosis fungoides is the most common form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and it rarely exhibits predilection for hair follicle and eccrine gland infiltration. Here, we present 2 similar cases that display folliculotropism with varying amounts of follicular mucinosis, with and without syringotropism. The features observed in both cases were cystic, comedo-like, acneiform lesions; generalized invo...

The development of both a T- and B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in one patient is an unlikely coincidence due to the low prevalence of each malignancy. We report a 65-year-old man with a previously documented history of B hairy cell leukemia, who presented with a new-onset acneiform eruption of his scalp, face, trunk, back, and extremities. Routine pathology of the skin lesions with immuno...
متن کاملFolliculotropic mycosis fungoides with follicular mucinosis--case report.
Reports on clinical and histologic follicular alterations in patients previously diagnosed with mycosis fungoides (MF) or at the time of MF diagnosis are rare. The clinical and histologic criteria to distinguish MF associated with follicular mucinosis from follicular MF are a matter of debate. A patient is described with advanced clinical and histologic alterations predominated by follicular le...
